Frontline
Released May 7, 2021

"Frontline" was the first full-length album I ever released, and it holds a deeply personal place in my heart. Written and produced in 2020, during the height of the pandemic, the album reflects a time of intense personal and societal upheaval. I was 22 years old, navigating both the uncertainty of the global crisis and my own creative journey. It was a year when I felt a strong need to find and assert my unique voice as a songwriter.

Musically, it was one of the most experimental and fulfilling periods of my life. I pushed myself to explore new sounds, techniques, and production methods I hadn’t tried before. Every track on the album is a reflection of that exploration, blending genres and experimenting with styles while honing my skills in both production and mixing.

The album is also an emotional snapshot of that challenging year. The song "This Life" is especially meaningful to me, as it captures the weight of a very specific time in history. The U.S. was experiencing widespread protests and riots, while the media bombarded us with relentless coverage of injustice, violence, and the overwhelming sense of social and political unrest. The collective stress and trauma left so many of us feeling disillusioned and powerless. Writing "This Life" gave me a sense of catharsis and solace during that period—an emotional release amidst the chaos. It was a moment of reflection, a way to make sense of the madness, and, in many ways, it helped me process the emotional weight of everything happening around me.

"Someday" is a deep dive into my personal journey of growing up, stepping into responsibility, and figuring out what it truly means to be an independent adult. It reflects the fear and excitement of embracing change, the longing for simpler times, and the sadness that comes with realizing you can’t turn back. The song explores the complex emotions tied to moving forward—how growth can be both liberating and painful, but ultimately, it’s a necessary part of finding your own way.
